Cloud System Administrator
Summary
Administers Infor's production AWS environments for enterprise SaaS applications, executing releases, patching, monitoring, and incident response, including a weekly on-call rotation. Core stack: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, ELB/ALB), Terraform, SaltStack, CloudFormation, and Python/Bash/PowerShell scripting.
Infor is seeking a Cloud System Administrator for the Cloud Operations team in Bangalore. This role administers production AWS environments for enterprise SaaS applications, supports secure and reliable service operations, and owns automation that improves deployment, configuration, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
• Convert recurring operational tasks into reusable scripts, runbooks, and self-service automation.
• Act as an escalation point for cloud infrastructure, deployment, configuration management, and production troubleshooting issues.
• Improve CI/CD and release automation by identifying manual steps, validating deployment readiness, and standardizing release checks.
• Work with application, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve production issues and implement preventive fixes.
• Hands-on experience with AWS production services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and ELB/ALB,using AWS cli(Command line interface)
• Experience using Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure, including modules, remote state, workspaces, and reusable configuration patterns.
• Experience using SaltStack for configuration management, including states, pillars, grains, and formulas.
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, Python, and PowerShell for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, reporting, and recovery automation.
• Experience deploying code to production using release plans, validation steps, rollback procedures, and maintenance windows.
• Ability to document runbooks, automation procedures, operational checks, and troubleshooting steps clearly.
• Ability to collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and operations teams during production incidents and planned releases.
· Experience improving deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, configuration management, or internal operations tooling.
· Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, monitoring, alert tuning, and service reliability practices.
· Experience supporting secure, compliant, and highly available production environments across cross-functional teams.
