Cloud Systems Administrator and SRE

About the role

At AD4 Octógono, we are hiring.

We are looking for a Cloud Systems Administrator and SRE to participate in the administration, automation, and improvement of hybrid technological platforms, combining cloud and on-premise infrastructures.

The selected person will be responsible for contributing to the availability, reliability, security, and performance of the systems, as well as automating operations and collaborating with development teams in continuous integration and deployment processes.

What you'll do

• Administer and optimize cloud and on-premise platforms, guaranteeing their availability, performance, and reliability.
• Manage complex technical incidents and comply with service level agreements (SLAs), including critical P0 incidents with response times of 10 minutes and a target resolution time of one hour.
• Design, maintain, and automate infrastructures using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes in collaboration with development teams, using GitHub Actions.
• Configure monitoring, alerts, and observability through tools such as Amazon CloudWatch, Nagios, Grafana, and Splunk.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server systems, Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases, and application servers.
• Manage AWS environments, including EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Administer virtualization solutions, SAN/NAS storage, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Manage patching, security, and system maintenance.
• Administer hybrid communications and Fortinet and Juniper network and security equipment.
• Participate in the operation of physical infrastructures and machine rooms.

What we're looking for

• Higher Technician degree in Computer Systems Administration or equivalent training.
• AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer – Associate certification, formerly AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate.
• GitHub administration certification or accreditation, depending on client requirements.
• High level of Catalan, mandatory requirement.

Nice to have

• At least 4 years of experience in cloud systems administration, infrastructure operations, and SRE practices.
• Experience in AWS: EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
• Linux and Windows Server systems administration.
• Automation and infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Continuous integration and deployment via GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Kubernetes, scripting, and task automation.
• Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL database administration.
• Experience in VMware virtualization and NetApp ONTAP, SAN, and NAS storage technologies.
• Knowledge of networking and security with Fortinet and Juniper.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
• We will value additional corporate certifications in Advanced Networking, VMware VCP-DCV, Windows Hybrid, and NetApp NCDA.

What you'll get

• Salary between €35,000 and €45,000 gross per year, depending on experience and knowledge.
