CLS01- Direct Support Professional
Covenant Case Management Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and engaged Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one Community Living Support (CLS) and Respite care as an independent contractor (1099) in Pinnacle, NC.
In this role, you will assist an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in daily life, community engagement, and routine activities. Key Responsibilities
Direct Care & Daily Living Support: Provide hands-on assistance with routine daily living activities, personal care, and independence-building goals in the home environment.
Community Integration: Actively encourage and accompany the individual during community outings, social activities, and events to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion.
Family Collaboration: Partner closely with the individual and their family to deeply understand their specific needs, preferences, and personal goals.
Communication & Coordination: Maintain consistent, proactive communication with supervisors and team members regarding care updates, schedule adjustments, and daily progress.
Safety & Support: Ensure a safe, encouraging, and supportive atmosphere, strictly adhering to all health and safety protocols and personalized care guidelines.
Work Schedule & Pay Rates
This position offers a consistent, full-time daytime schedule:
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (CLS)
Core Hours: 40 hours per week of Community Living Support (CLS) at $18.00 / hour.
Additional Support: Respite care hours provided as needed by the family at $15.00 / hour.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent (Required).
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of caregiving or direct support experience (Preferred).
Driver's License: Valid North Carolina driver's license with a reliable personal vehicle and transportation (Required).
Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a standard criminal background check (Required).
Contractor Status: Comfort operating as an independent contractor under a 1099 agreement.
