Job Purpose
The Clubhouse Maintenance Manager oversees the upkeep, functionality, and safety of the clubhouse facility and surrounding grounds. This role ensures all building systems operate smoothly, coordinates preventative maintenance programs, leads maintenance staff, and supports the overall guest experience by maintaining a clean, efficient, and well-presented environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain all areas of the clubhouse, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of building systems, equipment rooms, and kitchen equipment.
- Oversee upkeep of surrounding grounds, pathways, outdoor structures, and related equipment.
- Ensure the clubhouse environment remains clean, organized, and safe at all times.
- Supervise, schedule, and train maintenance staff; support hiring and performance-related processes when needed.
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring timely repairs and efficient task completion.
- Manage the maintenance budget, track expenses, and maintain accurate financial and operational records.
- Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of machinery, building systems, and facility assets.
- Troubleshoot and perform hands-on repairs as needed across all facility systems.
- Coordinate and oversee capital improvement projects, vendor relationships, and contractor work.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or management experience in maintenance, preferably in a golf course, country club, resort, or hospitality environment.
- Strong background in facility maintenance, including preventative maintenance planning and technical repairs.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-management abilities.
- Technical proficiency in building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility operations.
- Ability to manage budgets, track spending, and maintain organized documentation.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills; able to work effectively with club staff, vendors, and members.
Working Conditions
- Schedule varies based on club needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work involves regular movement throughout the facility, including indoor and outdoor areas in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, cleaning agents, noise, heat, cold, and other environmental factors typical of maintenance environments.
- May be required to respond to emergencies, system failures, or urgent repairs outside of standard working hours.
