Summary

Oversee admissions operations for a community college, including recruitment marketing, event coordination, and staff supervision, with frequent travel to schools and community sites.

Title: Director of Admissions (internal posting)

Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Admin Unit as a Level 4. The position is budgeted in the high $50s to mid $60s.

Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all aspects of the College’s admission program including marketing for recruitment of traditional and non-traditional students and for promoting the College by visiting high schools, adult education sites and community agencies. This position is responsible for coordinating all on-campus recruitment events and supervising the admissions staff. Must be available for travel, day evening and weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively before large groups
  • Experience in marketing (preferably higher education)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Master’s Degree
