  • Set up and operate CMM equipment to perform dimensional inspection of incoming, in-process, and finished parts.
  • Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specified requirements, and compile complete, accurate FAI reports for submission to customers for approval.
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to determine appropriate inspection methods and datums.
  • Select, calibrate, and use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, surface plates, etc.) to support and verify CMM results.
  • Analyze inspection data and generate clear, accurate inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and supporting quality documentation.
  • Identify and document non-conforming material and support root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate calibration and preventive maintenance of CMM equipment and related gauging.
  • Archive and maintain CMM programs, inspection records, and FAI documentation in accordance with company and customer quality system requirements.
  • Support internal and external quality audits (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, customer audits) by providing inspection data, programs, and records as requested.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel to resolve dimensional discrepancies and improve part conformance.
  • Assist with additional quality department duties as assigned by the Quality Manager, which may include in-process inspection, receiving inspection, SPC data collection, gauge calibration, and quality system documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inspection work area and follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
