Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety at all times
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
Qualifications
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program
- Experience in behavioral health or working with patients with mental health conditions is preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control practices
- Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health records systems
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards patients in need of hospice care
