CNA - Overnights

As an overnight Certified Nursing Assistant at Maple View Memory Care in Grand Forks, ND, you become a steady, reassuring presence for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory-related conditions. This is meaningful, hands-on work, and we are looking for someone who sees the person behind the diagnosis.

About the Role

Working overnight means you are entrusted with the safety and well-being of residents while they rest. A skilled CNA memory care team member balances attentive monitoring with gentle, unobtrusive support, ensuring every resident feels secure through the night. You will collaborate closely with nurses and fellow caregivers to maintain continuity of care from one shift to the next.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct personal care, including assistance with toileting, repositioning, hygiene, and mobility throughout the overnight hours.
• Conduct regular safety rounds and respond promptly to residents who are awake, restless, or in need of reassurance.
• Support residents experiencing sundowning or nighttime confusion with patience and a calming approach, a hallmark of strong CNA memory care practice.
• Monitor and document changes in condition, behavior, and comfort, reporting concerns to the charge nurse without delay.
• Assist with vital signs, intake and output tracking, and other duties as directed by the nursing team.
• Help maintain a clean, orderly, and soothing environment that promotes restful sleep.
• Deliver CNA memory care that honors each resident's routines, preferences, and sense of dignity.

What We're Looking For

We welcome caregivers who bring both competence and heart. The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and genuinely compassionate about serving older adults.

• Active CNA certification in the state of North Dakota, in good standing.
• Ability to work overnight shifts consistently and remain alert and responsive during quiet hours.
• Prior experience in CNA memory care, assisted living, or a long-term care setting is a plus, though we are happy to support growth.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Physical stamina to assist with transfers, lifting, and extended periods of standing or walking.
• A patient, empathetic temperament suited to the unique rhythms of CNA memory care work.
