CNC Field Service Expert- Western Region
Summary
Manages on-site CNC machine service operations, including field support, technician training, troubleshooting, and billing, while overseeing a team of engineers and ensuring regulatory compliance.
The Customer Support Service Expert is tasked to manage costs and revenue generation to keep the service operation profitable and manage customer satisfaction regarding service quality and response time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required. Responsibilities include up to and not limited to:
• Provide local training to improve FSE skill sets.
• Provide Field support to Technicians when needed.
• Schedule and provide technical support to the engineers in the Service Department.
• Manage open issues within the department.
• Provide estimates for future service jobs.
• Issue and manage Quality Reports.
• Provide technical support to our distribution network, including troubleshooting, part identification,
and machine installation assistance and provide service support in the field.
• Provide performance reviews, interview perspective employees and schedule employee training.
• Assist in the scheduling, shipping and receiving, installation, inspection and pack up of showroom
machines. Conduct and fulfill regulatory facility-related safety audits on a regular basis.
• Manage the service report documentation and billing process.
• Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or engineering technology)
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a Machine Tool Company, Milling, Turning, 5 axis
- Previous people manager responsibilities and proven leadership ability
- Knowledge of Fanuc & Siemens controllers
- Understand PLC systems and diagrams
- Ability to operate forklift truck and manual lifting equipment
- MS Office
- Travel Requirements: 50%-75% travel
- Work Location: On the road
- Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
