CNC Laser Operator 2nd shift
Summary
Operates and maintains CNC laser machines to cut materials, performs setups, troubleshooting, and adheres to strict safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform CNC programming and general set-ups.
- Program laser to ensure program files are accurate
- Maintenance and troubleshooting all laser orders.
- Clean and align the lenses and other optical pieces, change oxygen and nitrogen tanks.
Performance Skills:
- At least 1 years experience in running a laser, both 2D and 3D preferred.
- Good computer skills
- Understanding of G & M code.
- Experience with Fanuc controllers.
- Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity with fingers and hands.
- Knowledge of fixture building a plus.
- Must understand geometry and trigonometry.
- Two years Bystronic or Mazak laser experience.
- Knowledge of Bysoft 6 or SpaceGear
- Ability to stand for 8 – 10 hours.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Continuous mental and visual attention is required
- Requires constant alertness and attention to detail of correct product shipped and the count quantity
- Work involves likelihood of irregularity of work schedule to meet customer demand
- Performing these duties will involve lifting, pulling, or pushing physical objects; standing, stooping and bending, walking and standing for long periods of time
- Working in hot, cold, noisy work areas and being exposed to odors, fumes, and dust
- Must be able to constantly sustain exertion and lifting of parts ranging from 0-75 lbs.
- Must wear steel toe shoes, ear plugs, and safety glasses at ALL times on the production floor, hard hats required in certain areas
