CNC Laser Operator

Responsibilities:

• Ensure lasers are producing quality parts within customer specifications and tolerance
• Perform 1st piece inspections
• Change nozzles based on material type and thickness, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment
• Review all nests for sheet utilization and accuracy
• Troubleshoot and adjust laser to maintain the best cut possible to avoid secondary work
• Perform PM’s as scheduled

Schedule:

1st shift: Monday - Friday, 5am - 3pm

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years laser operating experience
• Ability to distinguish material types including Aluminum, Steel & Stainless
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of G and M codes
• Ability to operate forklifts and reach trucks safely
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, pin gauges & tape measures
• Computer proficiency, nesting knowledge preferred
