CNC Machinist (Computer Numerical Control)
Summary
Operates and maintains CNC machines to produce metal parts, performs setup, adjustments, and quality checks, and trains junior machinists.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for the machine output
- Machine daily maintenance
- Run & operate the CNC Machine
ACTIVITIES:
- Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines.
- Set up and thread that the facility is licensed for on a CNC lathe, with no assistance on setup and first article inspection.
- Use proper tools and gages for threading or process to be performed.
- Able to adjust machine processes and tooling to optimize cycle time and maintain process control as well as CNC editing on the shop floor.
- Perform necessary mathematical calculations to produce angles.
- Understands product drawings and can produce parts from drawings.
- Support the training and development of machinists at CNC Level 1 and CNC Level 2.
Job Requirements:
- ITE or NITEC or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in English is required to ensure proper understanding of safety procedures, machine manuals, and production requirements.
- Must meet qualifications for CNC machinist with 5 years' experience in metal removal on a variety of machine
