We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to join our team in Canton, South Dakota, where your craftsmanship will directly shape the quality of every part we produce. If you take pride in accuracy, enjoy working with advanced equipment, and want to grow alongside a supportive crew, this opportunity was made for you.
About the Role
As a CNC Machinist, you will operate and maintain computer-controlled machine tools to manufacture components that meet exacting specifications. You will read engineering drawings, set up machines, and monitor production runs to ensure every piece leaves your station ready for the next step. This is hands-on work where your attention to detail and problem-solving skills make a visible difference every day.
What You Will Do
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and related machinery to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine dimensions, tolerances, and material requirements.
- Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling for each job.
- Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Make adjustments to speeds, feeds, and offsets to maintain quality and efficiency throughout each run.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to keep equipment running at peak performance.
- Document production data and report any tooling or machine issues promptly.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules safely.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal CNC Machinist brings a steady combination of technical knowledge and dependable work habits. You should be comfortable reading complex drawings and translating them into finished parts without losing sight of the small details that matter.
- Experience operating CNC equipment, with a strong understanding of machining principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and geometric tolerances.
- Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming is a strong asset.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and quality inspection methods.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and clean, organized practices.
- Reliable, team-oriented attitude with the willingness to learn new techniques.
We believe in investing in the people who keep our shop floor moving. Whether you are an experienced CNC Machinist seeking a fresh challenge or a capable operator ready to sharpen your craft, you will find mentorship, modern equipment, and genuine respect for your work here. Every CNC Machinist on our team plays a key part in our success, and we are eager to welcome the next one.
