CNC Machinist

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• 4 or more years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Experience operating Giddings & Lewis (G&L) Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs), including machining large, heavy, and complex components such as engine blocks, turbine rotors, and large gears.
• Demonstrated ability to perform precision turning, boring, and facing operations while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Familiarity with CNC controls, machine setup, and leveraging vertical spindle configurations to ensure safe, stable, and efficient workpiece handling.
• Passion to build Spacecraft and Rocket components.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in math and computer skills as they apply to CNC machining operations.
• Ability to support 1st and 2nd shift assignments, overtime, and weekend work, as needed.
