CNC Machinist / Programmer – 1st Shift
Pay: Starting at $27/hour, with higher pay available based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM; Saturdays, 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
Hours: Approximately 56 hours/week
Employment: Potential temp-to-hire after 90 days
Position Overview
We are looking for a CNC Machinist/Programmer to produce precision-machined components in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. The role involves CNC programming, machine setup, operation, and inspection of finished parts.
What You’ll Do
- Read and interpret machining drawings and technical documentation.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
- Produce parts to tight tolerances, including tolerances as close as 0.0005".
- Create and modify programs using G-code on Fagor, Fanuc, Haas, and Heidenhain controls. Experience with every control is not required.
- Measure finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and dial bore gauges.
- Inspect work to maintain dimensional accuracy and consistent quality.
- Follow established safety practices in a heavy industrial shop.
- Maintain dependable attendance and a professional work ethic.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Work scheduled hours, including occasional Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Previous CNC programming and machine operation experience.
- Ability to read and understand technical/machining drawings.
- Experience with CNC lathes and mills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to use precision measuring tools.
