CNC / Manual Machinist

CV-Tek is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Elgin, Illinois.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both setting up and running CNC lathes in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment. Unlike many production shops, our work involves a wide variety of parts and equipment, providing opportunities to use your machining skills and problem-solving abilities every day.

Schedule
- 1st Shift
- 7:00 PM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime available
- No weekend work currently
What You'll Do
· Set up and operate CNC lathes
· Run production jobs and monitor machine performance
· Make tooling and offset adjustments as needed
· Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
· Inspect parts to ensure compliance with specifications and tolerances
· Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, gauges, and comparators
· Troubleshoot machining issues and identify process improvements
· Work closely with engineering and manufacturing personnel
· Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area
· Complete required production documentation
· Work overtime as needed
