CNC Mechanist - Mill Turn (Mazak), up to $4,500, Woodlands

Job Responsibilities

• Set up Mazak Mill-Turn machines, including tool installation, tool length and radius offset settings.

• Manage tool offsets, tool life and tool numbering to ensure efficient machining operations.

• Perform machine setup, including spindle, B-axis, C-axis and live tooling configuration.

• Review and verify Mazatrol/EIA programs against engineering drawings prior to production.

• Carry out first article setup, trial runs and fine-tune machining parameters to achieve optimal performance.

• Install and align workholding devices such as chucks, collets, soft jaws, fixtures and centres.

• Set work coordinate offsets (G54–G59) and ensure proper alignment and runout accuracy.

• Inspect first-off components using precision measuring instruments to verify compliance with drawings and tolerance requirements.

• Work closely with the Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth production and maintain product quality.

Job Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating and setting up Mazak Mill-Turn machines, preferably the Integrex series.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

• Strong knowledge of machine setup, tooling, alignment and machining troubleshooting.

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with Production and QC personnel.
