CNC Mill Turn Machinist (Mid-Level)

We are seeking a skilled Mill-Turn Machinist to set up and operate CNC mill-turn (multi-tasking) machines to produce high-quality, precision components. This position is ideal for a machinist with solid experience who can work independently, troubleshoot routine issues, and consistently meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mill-turn / multitasking machines
• Install and align chucks, collets, fixtures, tooling, and live tools
• Load and qualify turning tools, milling cutters, drills, and probes
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, and basic probing routines
• Run and make minor edits to CNC programs (G-code or conversational)
• Perform combined turning and milling operations including:
  • OD/ID turning, facing, grooving, and threading
  • Live-tool milling, cross-drilling, and end-of-part machining
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure tolerances and finishes
• Make adjustments for tool wear and dimensional control
• Troubleshoot common machining, tooling, and setup issues
• Perform routine machine care and preventive maintenance
• Complete job travelers and inspection documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
