Job summary:
As part of the Talent Development Program, candidates will undergo structured training to build core technical competencies. The program emphasizes hands-on learning, safety, and quality awareness required for successful performance on the shop floor.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Ø Talent Development Program (Training Topics)
Ø Trainees will be trained in the following areas and are expected to maintain proper documentation and update their progress status card:
Ø Engineering Drawing Reading
Ø Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ø Overview of Manufacturing Processes
Ø Introduction to Cutting Technologies
Ø Measurement Equipment Usage
Ø Basics of Operating CNC Machines
Ø Post-Training Responsibilities
Ø Upon successful completion of training, the candidate will:
Ø Machine Preparation & Setup
Ø Prepare CNC machines by checking attachments, loading tools and parts, calibrating machines, and setting up feeding mechanisms according to the job instructions.
Ø Operational Monitoring
Ø Operate CNC machines as per process guidelines, ensuring adherence to quality and productivity standards.
Ø Part Inspection
Ø Conduct in-process and final inspection using appropriate measuring tools to ensure that parts conform to specifications.
Ø Error Detection & Correction
Ø Observe machine behaviour for malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and make necessary parameter or program adjustments to correct issues.
Ø Work Area Maintenance
Ø Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area following 5S standards and inspect machines and tools at the end of each shift.
Ø Documentation & Shift Handover
Ø Record all machine operations, production quantities, and quality checks in logs. Accurately communicate shift-wise updates for seamless continuity.
Ø Routine Maintenance
Ø Perform basic preventive maintenance on assigned CNC machines to ensure uninterrupted performance and machine longevity.

Education & Experience:
1. Educational Qualification: BE in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering from Polytechnic / GTTC / NTTF.
2. Core Skills & Attributes
Ø Good understanding of basic mathematics and its application in measurements and machining.
Ø Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing processes and CNC machine operations.

Preferred Certifications:
1. CNC Machine Operation & Programming Certification
Ø From recognized institutions such as GTTC, NTTF, or NSDC-approved training centres.
2. Basic Metrology / Measurement Tools Certification
Ø Covering the usage of Vernier calliper, micrometre, height gauge, and dial indicators, enhancing accuracy in part inspection.
