Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC OD Grinding Machinist to join our team in Roscoe, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and running cylindrical grinding machines, with a strong focus on precision and quality. This role involves working with aerospace and defense components, requiring strict adherence to ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines for OD (Outside Diameter) and ID (Inside Diameter) grinding tasks.
• Perform precision grinding operations to meet tight tolerances and specifications.
• Load and unload parts safely and efficiently.
• Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to inspect parts and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain compliance with aerospace and defense industry standards, including ITAR regulations.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of production and inspection results.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up and running cylindrical grinding machines.
• Strong knowledge of OD and ID grinding techniques.
• Experience with precision grinders and measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense manufacturing environments.
• Understanding of ITAR compliance and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
