CNC Operator – Lathe or Mill
We are seeking a dependable CNC Operator to operate either CNC Lathes or CNC Mills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading materials, monitoring machine operations, performing quality inspections, and ensuring parts meet customer specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Lathe or CNC Mill machines according to production requirements.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Read and follow work instructions, setup sheets, and blueprints.
- Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and identify quality or production issues.
- Make basic tool offset adjustments as needed.
- Maintain production records and inspection documentation.
- Keep work area clean and organized following 5S and safety standards.
- Communicate production concerns to supervisors and setup technicians.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read measuring tools including calipers and micrometers.
- Basic blueprint reading skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC Mills, Lathes, or both.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Okuma controls.
- Knowledge of GD&T and inspection procedures.
- Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, medical, or precision manufacturing environments.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise and coolant.
