CNC Operator/Programmer

We are currently searching for a CNC Operator/Programmer who will produce machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) 5-axis FOM machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

1. Set up and operate CNC machines for the production of skylight components.
2. Load aluminum extrusions into machine and monitor the automated processes.

Programming:

1. Interpret technical drawing and blueprints to program CNC machines accordingly.
2. Collaborate with the engineering team to refine and optimize CNC programs for enhanced efficiency.

Quality Control:

1. Conduct regular quality checks on machined extrusions to ensure they meet specifications.
2. Make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality consistency.

Tooling and Equipment:

1. Select and install appropriate tooling for each machining operation.
2. Monitor tool life and make tool changes as required.

Safety and Compliance:

1. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
2. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration:

1. Contribute to the efficient and accurate production of Skylights by assembling components and sub-assemblies to specified instructions and quality standards, using hand tools and / or specialized equipment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

1. 2 to 5 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator, preferably and/or door and window manufacturing.
2. Familiarity with and /or interest CNNC programming

Technical Skills

1. Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints.
2. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of CNC machine operations

1. Meticulous attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in the production process.

Team Player

1. Ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve productions goals.
2. Effective communication skills.

Physical Requirements

1. Be able to lift up to 50lbs
2. Be able to punch and pull up to 75lbs.
3. Must be able to work proficiently with hands and wrists.
4. Must have stable hand and arm movement to properly guide the manual welding equipment, as needed
5. Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, and walk for extended periods of time.
