CNC Operator – Turning Centre

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Operator – Turning Centre to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in operating and setting up CNC turning centres, with a good understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, engineering drawings, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning centre machines as per job requirements.
  
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
  
• Load CNC programs and perform minor program edits when required.
  
• Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and machining parameters.
  
• Set tool offsets and work offsets to achieve the required dimensions.
  
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments.
  
• Maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and product quality.
  
• Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain workplace cleanliness.
  
• Coordinate with the production team to achieve daily production targets.
  

Requirements

• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC turning centre operations.
  
• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or a related trade.
  
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
  
• Knowledge of turning operations, cutting tools, and machining parameters.
  
• Basic understanding of G-code, CNC programs, and program adjustments.
  
• Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and bore gauges.
  
• Knowledge of tool setting, offsets, and dimensional inspection.
