CNC Programmer
What are your contributions to the team?
- Program aerospace components using CATIA V5 for 5-axis CNC machining.
- Submit and maintain APT source programs.
- Validate and verify G-code output using VERICUT Machine Simulation software.
- Develop electronic visual work instructions for component manufacturing (operator manuals/workbooks).
- Participate in problem-solving activities as required to ensure on-time delivery of production commitments and deliverables.
- Develop and implement innovative programming methods to reduce programming lead times through the creation of macros, templates, and automated routines.
- Prepare machining strategy estimates, including programming time and component machining cycle time assessments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and machining issues affecting component quality during production.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Aeronautical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- You have a minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in NC programming using CATIA V5 and VERICUT Machine Simulation.
- You have knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes; this is considered an asset.
- You have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- You have a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
- You are well organized and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- You are creative and innovative, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement new ways of working and process improvements.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- You are highly self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently.
- You are fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
