CNC Programmer / Machinist
Cinova Medical, Inc. is seeking a full-time skilled hands-on CNC Programmer/Machinist to join our team in Chandler, Arizona.
Summary:
Responsible for programming using MasterCam, creating and editing cutter paths, setting up and operating CNC machines, reading blueprints, and performing precision measurements. This role is responsible for producing high-quality parts according to customer specifications and requires a strong understanding of CNC technology and lean manufacturing principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Write and edit CNC programs in Mastercam and PowerMill
- Work from SolidWorks models and drawings to plan machining of mold components
- Set up, program, and run CNC machining centers
- Pick tooling, fixtures, feeds and speeds, and work holding
- Hard milling & surfacing
- Check parts with calipers, micrometers, height gages, pins and other inspection tools
- Find and fix machining problems, then improve cycle times
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of CNC programming, setup and operation
- Experience with Mastercam and/or PowerMill
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks
- Mold making or mold repair experience (injection molds strongly preferred but not necessary)
- Comfort holding tight tolerances (±0.0005" or better)
- Willingness to work on your own as well as with the team
- Wire or sinker EDM experience a plus but not necessary
- Surface grinding a plus but not necessary
