WAF – Crookston is looking for an experienced CNC Set Up Technician to join our Machine Shop team. This is a highly skilled, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for setting up CNC equipment, troubleshooting machining issues, and ensuring quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Set up CNC mills and lathes for production runs.
• Install tooling, fixtures, and program offsets.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Work closely with operators to ensure quality and productivity goals are achieved.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Help drive continuous improvement throughout the Machine Shop.

✔ CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment
✔ Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills
✔ Experience using precision measuring instruments
✔ Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting abilities
