Key responsibilities
- Supervised daily CNC machining operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Managed a team of CNC operators, setters, and technicians.
- Ensured compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Conducted first-off inspections and resolved machining quality issues.
- Investigated NCRs and implemented corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinated machine maintenance, tooling management, and production planning.
- Optimized machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
- Worked closely with Engineering, QA, and Production departments to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepared production reports, manpower planning, and machine utilization records.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior/management from time to time.
Job requirements
- Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 year of working experience in a manufacturing line, preferably in plastics or semiconductors
- 5.5 days' working week and must be able to support overtime
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a high mixed, low volume production environment
- Team player with a "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn new skill sets
