CNC Supervisor

Summary

Oversee daily CNC machining operations, manage a team of operators, and ensure quality, safety, and productivity in a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervised daily CNC machining operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Managed a team of CNC operators, setters, and technicians.
  • Ensured compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Conducted first-off inspections and resolved machining quality issues.
  • Investigated NCRs and implemented corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinated machine maintenance, tooling management, and production planning.
  • Optimized machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle time.
  • Worked closely with Engineering, QA, and Production departments to support new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepared production reports, manpower planning, and machine utilization records.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior/management from time to time.

Job requirements

  • Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 year of working experience in a manufacturing line, preferably in plastics or semiconductors
  • 5.5 days' working week and must be able to support overtime
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a high mixed, low volume production environment
  • Team player with a "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn new skill sets
