CNC Swiss Programmer / Setup Machinist

Job Details:

- Potential Annual Earnings: $95,000 – $120,000+.
- Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts available.

Opportunity Overview:
- We are hiring an experienced CNC Swiss Programmer / Setup Machinist to program, set up, and optimize Star Swiss CNC lathes for manufacturing high-precision medical device components.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Swiss machining, CNC programming, process development, troubleshooting, and production optimization within a precision manufacturing environment.

Machines & Equipment:
- Star SR-20J.
- Star SR-20RIV (Ra).
- Star SV-20.

Key Responsibilities:
- Program, set up, and optimize Star Swiss CNC lathes for production.
- Develop manufacturing processes for tight-tolerance medical device components.
- Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and improve production cycle times.
- Select appropriate tooling and establish cutting parameters.
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Support machinists and production personnel during setup and production runs.
- Perform first article inspections and process verification.
- Machine precision components using stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, plastics, and specialty alloys.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of CNC Swiss programming and setup experience.
- Hands-on experience programming Swiss-style lathes with Fanuc controls.
- Experience with Star Swiss machines or comparable Swiss platforms.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Experience with Part Maker, Mastercam, CAM Works, or similar CAD/CAM software.
- Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, speeds, and Swiss machining processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize machine performance.
- Good understanding of quality inspection methods.
