Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial full-stack developer and technology leader who actively uses artificial intelligence to accelerate software development.

Our ideal cofounder is someone who understands modern software architecture, can independently develop sophisticated applications, and knows how to leverage AI coding tools to build faster, smarter, and more efficiently.

We want a hands-on builder—not just someone who manages developers.

You should be capable of taking Kinoflix from concept to a fully functional, commercially scalable streaming platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, engineering, development, and technical strategy of Kinoflix.
• Design and build our streaming platform for web, mobile, and eventually connected TV devices.
• Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, deployment, and product iteration.
• Develop robust front-end and back-end systems, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Integrate video hosting, encoding, transcoding, playback, and content delivery technologies.
• Implement user registration, authentication, subscriptions, payment processing, and account management.
• Build scalable content management, search, and recommendation systems.
• Develop AI-powered personalization and content discovery capabilities.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Recruit and lead the engineering team as the company grows.
• Collaborate directly with the founder on product strategy, business development, and long-term growth.

Required Experience

• Strong professional experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Demonstrated ability to build and launch production-ready platforms or complex web applications.
• Proficiency in modern technologies such as React, Next.js, Node.js, TypeScript, Python, and related frameworks.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of databases, APIs, authentication, payments, and scalable system architecture.
• Practical experience using AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar coding agents.
• Ability to use AI-assisted development while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, and reliability.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, technical judgment, and entrepreneurial drive.
• Willingness to take ownership of the entire technology function.

Preferred Experience

• Experience developing video streaming, OTT, entertainment, or subscription-based platforms.
• Familiarity with video infrastructure, CDNs, DRM, HLS/DASH, and streaming APIs.
• Experience building products with AI-powered recommendations or personalization.
• Experience launching SaaS platforms, consumer applications, or technology startups.
• Previous startup founding or technical leadership experience.

We are offering a significant ownership opportunity for the right technical cofounder.

• Equity ownership: 20–35%, negotiable based on experience, technical contribution, and long-term commitment.
• Founding leadership position with substantial influence over company direction.
• Opportunity to build and own the technical foundation of Kinoflix.
• Potential future salary subject to company funding and financial resources.
• Equity terms, vesting, and responsibilities to be mutually agreed upon.

This is initially an equity-focused founding opportunity, not a conventional salaried engineering position.
