NMSI is currently seeking coaches with at least three years of experience in one of the following areas:
- Media Specialist
- Guidance Counselor
What You’ll Do All Day
As a Coach, you will play an essential role in advancing our mission. You will collaborate with a passionate team to craft and implement strategies that elevate the future of math and science education. The Coach directly impacts our mission by supporting our professional development services through Content Workshops, Vertical Team Trainings, Curriculum Implementation Trainings, 1:1 Coaching, and STEM Leadership Workshops.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Delivering professional development for teachers and leaders in both online and in-person environments (in-person events may require single or multi-day travel)
- Developing, editing, and piloting curricular materials for educators and students
- Producing and delivering customized and tailored training events for partner districts
- Developing new educational content, including model activities, lessons, and units for educators and student audiences
- Modeling teaching strategies and content-driven activities for NMSI stakeholders
- Sharing feedback and insights from training to inform future programming
- Serving as an ambassador for NMSI and NMSI’s mission and values to schools, teachers, and students
- Promoting NMSI in your professional networks and support coach recruitment as needed
- Other duties as assigned
The Coach will report to a Manager, Program Design & Innovation and will serve in a six-month temporary, part-time hourly position, with the potential for an extension based on funding and organizational needs. This is a fully remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work from anywhere within the contiguous United States. Occasional travel may be required for in-person meetings, conferences, and events.
