JOB GOAL:

To develop skills beyond the fundamentals and combine the abilities of individuals into a team effort with the focus on enthusiastic competition in the spirit of fair play, good sportsmanship, and friendship.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• See that all members of a team have returned a properly completed insurance and physical examination form BEFORE the first practice.
• Prepare and submit a roster to the Athletic Department office. Contact the A.D. office with any changes to your roster throughout the season.
• Keep parents abreast of your program.
• Teach sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics.
• Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility.
• Supervise and conduct practices and contest safely: supervise locker rooms and buses.
• Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one’s team and model these behaviors for your athletes and families.
• Following a contest, report results to athletic website and newspaper within 3 hours.
• Monitor athletes’ school attendance, grades and personal conduct.
• Issue, collect, inventory and return uniforms within one week to the Assistant Athletic Director at the conclusion of the season.
• Comply with the rules and regulations of Forsyth Country Day School and the NCISAA.
