Coastal & Hydro-Dynamics Specialist
Summary
Build AI-driven coastal and hydrodynamic models to design resilient urban water infrastructure and mitigate flood risk using physics-based and data-driven simulations.
We are seeking a highly analytical Coastal & Hydro-Dynamics Specialist to spearhead our coastal protection, stormwater management, and resilient urban water infrastructure systems. The candidate will focus on building operational coastal ontology framework that bridges environmental engineering, autonomous robotics, digital twins, and AI-driven monitoring systems.
The objective is to create a standardized environmental intelligence layer capable of integrating real-time sensor data, coastal processes, infrastructure assets, and regulatory engineering requirements into a unified decision-support platform.
Leveraging a deep technical foundation in civil, environmental, and earth resources engineering, the candidate will lead the development of predictive, data-driven hydrodynamic models to protect future cities against extreme weather anomalies and changing sea levels.
Key Responsibilities
- AI-Driven Coastal Modeling: Develop, refine, and deploy machine-learning-enhanced coastal and ocean hydrodynamic models (e.g., surrogate modeling, phase-resolving wave transformations, nearshore circulation).
- Smart Infrastructure Design: Design and integrate predictive AI/IoT algorithms with nature-based environmental solutions, rainwater harvesting networks, and decentralized urban water infrastructure.
- Disaster Risk Mitigation: Lead technical simulations for urban flood management, coastal erosion control, and disaster risk management using hybrid physics-based and data-driven computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Cross-Disciplinary R&D: Bridge the gap between classical environmental engineering and advanced data analytics, transforming massive datasets (satellite, IoT sensors, climate projections) into actionable architectural designs.
- Stakeholder Technical Leadership: Draft sophisticated technical proposals, publish innovative research, and present robust, data-backed engineering strategies to government bodies, municipal clients, and international collaborators.
