Summary
A coatings team member at Hussey Seating loads/unloads parts onto the wet paint line, paints and assembles seating products, and packs finished goods for shipment. Works with painting equipment, hand tools, and ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
POSITION TITLE: COATINGS
DEPARTMENT: Powder Coat
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Manufacturing
HOURS/SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm
*overtime available during high product demand times
HOURLY/SALARY STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt
POSITION OVERIVEW:
The Loader/Unloader is responsible for loading and unloading parts on the Powder Coat line, including packing and palletizing the finished product.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Load and unload parts on the Powder Coat line.
- Set up and maintain a clean and well-organized and safe work environment in accordance with 6S.
- Utilize basic hand tools
- Maintain accurate counts and inventory of product at workstation
- Understand and adhere to product acceptability and quality requirements
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards and identify product defects
- Pack and palletize finished product

- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints to match parts to prints

- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use manufacturing ERP Systems, preferred IFS.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift, carry, push and/or pull 1-50 lbs. frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and reach for up to 10 hours per day
- Requires ability to work in extreme heat on occasion
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required

Hussey Seating Company uses a market-based approach to compensation. The anticipated starting range for this position is $17.32 to $28.58 per hour. Individual compensation is determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, education, certifications, internal equity, and the responsibilities of the position.
