Job Description:
- Assigns CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes to professional billing encounters with moderate complexity.
- Reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness, querying providers as needed.
- Ensures compliance with coding guidelines, payer requirements, and organizational policies.
- Submits coded data to billing systems accurately and timely.
- Responds to routine coding questions from providers or revenue cycle teams.
- Participates in audits and incorporates feedback to improve coding accuracy.
- Tracks and maintains productivity and quality standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
