Description

ABOUT SHARKNINJA

Our mission to positively impact people's lives every day in every home around the world allows our employees to be thinkers and tinkerers, designers and doers, creators and number crunchers, makers of things they love.

SharkNinja APAC is expanding and scaling rapidly. Our two brands, Shark and Ninja, have enjoyed unprecedented growth over the past five years, driven by a very strong innovation pipeline. Singapore and Malaysia play a critical role in our plan for growth, and we are building our offline presence door by door.

Coffee is a category we are entering seriously. Consumers are knowledgeable and unforgiving: they can tell from one cup whether a brand understands coffee. You will be the person who proves that we do.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Coffee Specialist is the face of SharkNinja coffee in Singapore's offline stores. You will do three jobs at once. As a promoter, you demonstrate and sell our coffee machines face to face. As a trainer, you make every retail floor staff member and part-time promoter in your doors able to do the same. As a merchandiser, you make sure the coffee display, demonstration machine, consumables and pricing in each door are right, every visit.

Coffee is your specialism and your lead number, but you are not a coffee-only role. Where a door needs it, you will also support other Shark and Ninja categories: demonstrating, selling, training staff and keeping displays right. We want someone who can be the coffee expert and still be useful across the wider range.

Our machines are bought on the strength of the cup. People buy when they taste the difference, so a well-calibrated machine and a confident explanation matter more than any leaflet. You will learn to dial in a grinder, pull a good shot, steam milk properly and explain the difference in plain language. Coffee experience helps, but we will train it.

This is a performance role with a clear number. You will have individual and door-level targets for sales, attachment and training coverage, measured weekly. It is also a development role: our best Coffee Specialists should grow into category, trainer-lead or retail excellence roles.

You will also be our ears on the floor. What coffee shoppers ask, object to and compare us against is information the rest of the business cannot get anywhere else.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Promote and sell

  • Demonstrate SharkNinja coffee machines live, including a good cup, so shoppers taste the difference rather than read about it.
  • Qualify before pitching: understand how the customer drinks coffee, their kitchen and their budget before recommending a machine.
  • Handle objections confidently, including price and comparison with competing brands, and close the sale.
  • Drive attachment of consumables, accessories and care products on every sale.
  • Staff roadshows, launches and peak-period events, and deliver at the standard those moments demand.

2. Train and coach

  • Train retail floor staff and part-time promoters in your doors on coffee basics, our machines and the coffee demonstration standard.
  • Run short, regular floor sessions and one-to-one coaching on live selling, not just classroom product briefings.
  • Check understanding: certify people against the coffee demonstration standard and report who is certified and who is not.
  • Brief doors on every new coffee product or promotion before it launches, not after.
  • Share what works with the Coffee Category Development Specialist so it becomes part of the wider education programme.

3. Merchandise and maintain

  • Keep the coffee display, signage, pricing and POS correct and to brand standard in every assigned door, every visit.
  • Keep demonstration machines clean, descaled, calibrated and capable of producing a good cup. A bad demonstration cup does more damage than none.
  • Manage coffee consumables and demonstration stock (beans, milk, cups, cleaning supplies): check, request and record usage.
  • Flag stock gaps, out-of-stock hero SKUs, pricing errors, damaged displays and faulty machines immediately.
  • Complete a visit report for every door using the agreed checklist, with photos.

4. Support other categories

  • Demonstrate and sell other Shark and Ninja categories in your doors when the door, peak period or launch needs it, to the same standard as coffee.
  • Complete certification on the other categories you support, and keep it current.
  • Keep displays, pricing and demonstration units right for the categories you cover, and flag gaps and faults.
  • Help train floor staff and promoters on other categories when asked, alongside the relevant category lead.
  • Agree your category priorities and split of time with your manager: coffee first, other categories as the business needs.

5. Hit your numbers

  • Own your sales, attachment and door-level coffee targets and know your numbers weekly.
  • Work with your manager on what to change when performance dips rather than waiting to be told.
  • Prioritise your route and visit frequency by door potential, not convenience.

6. Be the eyes and ears

  • Report what coffee shoppers ask, object to and compare us against, and what competitors do in your doors.
  • Feed back on range, price and proposition to the Coffee Category Development Specialist monthly.
  • Represent the brand properly: confident, vibrant, accessible and clever; never pushy, loud or gimmicky. Never make a claim we cannot support.

EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITIES

Essential

  • 3+ years in face-to-face selling or demonstration in home appliances, consumer electronics, kitchen, home care or a similar retail category. We will consider strong candidates without direct category experience who have clear selling instinct and presence.
  • Range: comfortable learning and selling more than one product category, and moving between them in the same shift.
  • Genuine selling instinct. You ask before you pitch, you listen, and you can close without being pushy. This is assessed live.
  • Confidence explaining and coaching others, including people more senior than you.
  • Personal presence, warmth and resilience across a full retail day.
  • Organised and self-directed: you can run your own route, stock checks and visit reports without supervision.
  • Willingness to work retail hours including weekends, public holidays and peak periods, and to travel between doors across Singapore.

YOUR ROLE IN LEADING OUR SUCCESS DRIVERS

  • Lead us to be “RARELY SATISFIED”
  • Make things better each day; “PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION”
  • Use your knowledge of our consumer, understand that “DETAILS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE”
  • Deliver something great; “WINNING IS A TEAM SPORT”
  • Be clear and honest, “COMMUNICATING FOR IMPACT”
