What We’re Looking For:

This Collections Manager provides direction and leadership in a high volume financial shared services environment supporting an exciting collection of hotel properties across North America. This leader oversees the activities of a dynamic group of team members who interact with clients of our hotels and liaison with hotel leaders. An effective Collections Manager maintains strong internal controls, limits credit risk, proactively collects receivables within contracted terms, and maintains aged receivables to a minimum. The Collections Manager is a results-driven professional who directs the activities of the Collections team to deliver our brand promise of extraordinary customer service to all stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead daily billing and collections operations, including advance deposits, final deposits, and post-event receivables in accordance with contractual payment terms

  • Oversee and support Collections Coordinators to ensure service levels, productivity standards, and collection goals are achieved.

  • Manage aged accounts receivable reporting and drive timely collection of outstanding balances to support cash flow objectives

  • Partner with clients and hotel teams to investigate, resolve, and escalate billing disputes and delinquent accounts

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for complex collection issues, client escalations, and aged receivable reviews

  • Develop, recommend, and monitor payment plans for delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies

  • Coordinate collection agency referrals and maintain all required documentation and due diligence records

  • Monitor team workflows, key performance indicators, and collection metrics to ensure operational efficiency and financial targets are met

  • Facilitate regular meetings with hotel leadership to review receivable balances, collection strategies, and account status

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting best practices while identifying and mitigating risks

  • Build strong relationships with hotel leaders and clients to deliver exceptional service and resolve concerns effectively

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process enhancements, technology adoption, and operational efficiencies

  • Hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members while supporting employee engagement, development, and performance

  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards

  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs

  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum 2 years of billing and accounting/collections experience

  • Business Administration/Accounting Degree preferred

  • 2-5 years customer-facing work experience in hospitality or finance environment. 1-2 years supervising a team, 5 years' experience with collections

  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively both written and verbally

  • Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines

  • Ability to perform both standard and intermediate spreadsheet functions using Microsoft Office

  • General knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles
