Collision Parts Manager – Washington, PA

Diehl Collision of Washington is seeking an experienced, highly organized Parts Manager to lead parts operations at our collision repair facility in Washington, Pennsylvania.

We're looking for a motivated automotive parts professional who understands the importance of accuracy, organization, inventory control, vendor relationships, and getting the right parts to technicians at the right time.

In a busy collision center, parts management plays a critical role in repair quality, cycle time, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate understands the collision repair process and can effectively coordinate OEM, aftermarket, recycled, and specialty parts while working closely with estimators, technicians, insurance companies, vendors, and management.

Collision Parts Manager Responsibilities

As the Parts Manager at Diehl Collision of Washington, you'll oversee the ordering, receiving, tracking, organization, and distribution of parts needed throughout the collision repair process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage daily collision center parts operations
  • Order automotive collision and replacement parts
  • Source OEM, aftermarket, recycled, and specialty parts as required
  • Verify part numbers, pricing, availability, and estimated delivery dates
  • Receive, inspect, label, organize, and distribute incoming parts
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and damage before repairs begin
  • Coordinate parts orders with collision repair estimates and supplements
  • Track backordered and delayed parts
  • Follow up with vendors to prevent unnecessary repair delays
  • Process incorrect, damaged, and unused parts returns
  • Maintain accurate parts records and documentation
  • Monitor credits and outstanding returns
  • Work closely with Collision Estimators to ensure parts match repair plans
  • Coordinate with body technicians, painters, and production management
  • Maintain organized staging areas for parts assigned to individual repair orders
  • Assist with inventory management and loss prevention
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships
  • Help control parts costs and improve department profitability
  • Monitor parts-related key performance indicators
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized parts department

What We're Looking For

Organization and attention to detail are essential for this position.

The ideal candidate understands that a missing, incorrect, or delayed part can stop an entire collision repair. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of the process and proactively solves problems before they affect production.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous automotive parts management experience
  • Collision center or auto body parts experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of automotive and collision repair parts
  • Experience sourcing OEM and aftermarket automotive parts
  • Strong inventory management skills
  • Experience working with automotive parts vendors and suppliers
  • Ability to read and understand collision repair estimates
  • Familiarity with estimating and collision management software
  • CCC ONE experience is a plus
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously
  • Effective vendor negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with estimators and collision technicians
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced collision repair environment
  • Valid driver's license

Experience as an Automotive Parts Manager, Collision Parts Manager, Body Shop Parts Manager, Parts Coordinator, Parts Advisor, Parts Counterperson, Parts Specialist, or Automotive Parts Department Manager is highly relevant.
