Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and diagnose patients with colorectal disorders including cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and other digestive tract conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures such as colectomies, rectal resections, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Work closely with gastroenterologists, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with specialization in general surgery and additional training in colon & rectal surgery.
- Board certification in colon & rectal surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Sharjah, UAE.
- Proven clinical experience in colorectal surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal anatomy and surgical techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
