Position Summary

We have an opportunity for a Commercial Account Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for leading the execution and lifecycle management of assigned commercial products and customer accounts. You will serve as the primary customer contact and business liaison, ensuring alignment between customer expectations, contractual commitments, site capabilities, and business objectives. The position also focuses on identifying opportunities for account growth, service expansion, and market extension by partnering with customers to understand evolving product pipelines and future manufacturing needs.

The Role

  • Serve as the primary customer contact for assigned commercial products and accounts

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution

  • Lead customer governance meetings, business reviews, and operational discussions

  • Manage customer expectations and ensure alignment between customer requirements and site capabilities

  • Coordinate customer communications regarding supply, project status, risks, product changes, and business performance

  • Manage and oversee the delivery of commercial programs and product lifecycle activities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation plans

  • Facilitate team meetings to track deliverables, timelines, and customer commitments

  • Ensure timely resolution and escalation of issues impacting supply, revenue, quality, or deliverables

  • Coordinate commercial launches, product transfers, validation activities, and customer-driven projects

  • Support revenue forecasting and financial planning for assigned accounts

  • Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support billing accuracy

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to support commercial product supply

  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to communicate requirements and supply risks

  • Support Sales and Operations Planning and demand review processes

  • Coordinate implementation of customer-driven changes including labeling, packaging, and regulatory updates

  • Identify and manage risks affecting supply, quality, compliance, or revenue

  • Lead customer escalations and coordinate resolution activities

  • Support commercial growth initiatives and identify opportunities for additional products or services

  • Maintain account-level metrics, key performance indicators, and customer scorecards

  • Develop presentations and reports for customers and site leadership

  • Serve as site subject matter expert for assigned accounts and participate in improvement projects

  • Other duties assigned

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 6 years of relevant pharmaceutical, manufacturing, customer account management, or project management experience

  • Experience in a Catalent role demonstrating independence and proficiency in project management, commercial management, or customer-facing responsibilities may be substituted for external experience requirements

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Excellent customer relationship management capabilities

  • Strong business acumen and financial understanding

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects with competing demands

  • Ability to communicate effectively across customer, operational, and leadership levels

  • Individual may be required to sit for extended periods

  • Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently

  • Data entry and use of computer user interface tools including mouse, keyboard and any other applicable instruments

  • Sustained sitting at desk or workstation with use of phones, computers and any other office equipment required for specified position

Preferred Skills & Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred

  • SAP or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project preferred

  • Experience working within regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments preferred
