Commercial Contract Manager

Tetra Pak Japan is looking for a customer-focused professional to support front-line sales in managing customer relationships for contract management, ensuring customers get clear communication and prompt support.
The right candidate has experience negotiating contract terms that meet internal requirements while staying practical, customer-focused, and solution-oriented.

Commercial Contract Manager will do:
Customer Relationship Management
Support customer-facing stakeholders by:
- Clarifying contract terms
- Providing clear updates and reliable support
- Suggesting improvements to service delivery
- Building strong customer relationships and supporting long-term business success
Contract Management
- Support the preparation, review, and signing of customer contracts
- Make sure both Tetra Pak and the customer follow contract terms
- Keep contract documents organized and updated in the system
- Help internal teams understand contract responsibilities and timelines
Commercial Support
- Assist with pricing and payment terms in customer contracts
- Make sure all commercial agreements follow company policies and Japanese law
- Work with finance and legal teams to manage risks and resolve contract issues
Claim Handling and Resolution
- Investigating customer claims related to product quality, delivery, or service
- Work with technical, supply chain, and legal teams to understand the issue and find a fair solution
- Keep clear records of each claim and follow up until resolved
Reporting and Documentation
- Track and report key data: number of claims, resolution time, and customer feedback
- Prepare summaries and presentations for management and internal meetings
- Support audits and internal reviews with accurate records
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Work with sales, technical service, supply chain, and legal teams to support customers
- Share best practices with colleagues in Japan and other Tetra Pak markets
- Join regional meetings to align on processes and improvements
We believe you have
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years in customer service, contract management, or commercial operations
- Working knowledge of the Japanese Civil Code, Commercial Code, and standard Japanese contract practices
- Strong written and spoken English
- Korean (spoken and written) is helpful but not required
- Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or industrial sectors preferred
- Experience working in international or cross-cultural settings
- Familiarity with contract management systems is a plus
- Experience reviewing contracts under guidance from a legal department in a multinational company preferred
