Responsibilities:
Leadership & Supervision
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and supervise journeymen, apprentices, and other field staff.
- Set the tone for professionalism, safety, and quality on job sites.
- Conduct toolbox talks and enforce compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
Project Management
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily HVAC field operations.
- Coordinate with project managers and general contractors to maintain workflow and resolve issues.
- Control quality and layout of on-site projects to meet specifications and codes.
Material & Equipment Management
- Order materials, equipment, and parts as needed.
- Track and control deliveries, ensuring proper allocation and use on projects.
- Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory.
Technical Work
- Perform equipment installations, replacements, and changeouts.
- Oversee and participate in new installations and owner-direct projects.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
Administrative Duties
- Complete and submit required reports, timesheets, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding project status, issues, and needs.
- Support estimating and planning teams when needed.
- Travel occasionally to support out-of-town projects.
Qualifications:
- Current HVAC License (state-specific requirements apply).
- 5+ years of progressive commercial HVAC experience, including supervisory or foreman roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, and service practices.
- Proven ability to lead crews and manage projects efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Proficient in scheduling, time management, and resource allocation.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
