Role Description

The Commercial Leasing & Asset Manager will support the Head of Asset Management & Leasing in maximizing the performance of the commercial property portfolio through proactive leasing, tenant relationship management, occupancy optimization, and asset performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of leasing strategies across the commercial portfolio.
  • Assist in sourcing and converting prospective tenants into executed lease agreements.
  • Coordinate lease negotiations, renewals, rent reviews, and lease documentation.
  • Maintain accurate leasing pipelines and occupancy reports.
  • Monitor upcoming lease expiries and support tenant retention initiatives.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for tenant enquiries and requests.
  • Support tenant onboarding, move-ins, renewals, and move-outs.
  • Monitor occupancy levels, rental income, and vacancy trends across assigned assets.
  • Assist in preparing monthly asset performance reports and leasing dashboards.
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking on rental rates and competing developments.
  • Support the preparation of rental proposals, lease summaries, and commercial analyses.
  • Monitor rental escalations and lease obligations to ensure compliance.
  • Liaise with Facilities Management teams regarding tenant operational issues.
  • Maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and corporate occupiers.
  • Maintain accurate tenant, lease, and occupancy records.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and management updates as required.


Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate, Land Economy, Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial real estate leasing, property management, asset management, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent negotiating abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and handle unexpected situations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Customer oriented with an understanding of leveraging value in relationships.
