Commercial Manager – Water & Industrial Solutions

A leading industrial solutions business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the growth and development of its water treatment and chemical solutions portfolio.

This role will take ownership of product strategy, commercial growth, customer engagement, and sales leadership across a national footprint.

The successful individual will work closely with suppliers, customers, and internal operational teams to drive market expansion, strengthen key accounts, and support the development of innovative product and solution offerings within the water and wastewater treatment sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy for water treatment products and solutions
  • Drive market growth and customer engagement initiatives
  • Manage and grow key client relationships
  • Support product development and lifecycle management
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, supply chain, and sales teams
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to the sales team
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
  • 5–10 years’ experience within water treatment, industrial chemicals, or related sectors
  • Strong commercial and key account management experience
  • Technical understanding of water and wastewater treatment solutions
  • Experience leading or supporting sales teams
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking capability
  • Commercially driven with strong customer focus

Advantageous

  • Product sourcing and supplier management experience
  • Manufacturing or production exposure
  • P&L management exposure

Location

Gauteng based with national travel requirements.
