Backed by over two decades of international experience in solar PV, battery energy storage and electrical infrastructure, we partner with our clients to design, build and energise the assets driving the clean energy transition.

As our project portfolio continues to expand across substations, transmission, BESS, wind and electrical reticulation projects, we're seeking talented professionals who want to play a key role in shaping Australia's energy future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Following the award of the EBoP (Electrical Balance of Plant) package for the Gawara Baya Wind Farm in North Queensland, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join the project's leadership team.

Reporting to the Project Director and working closely with the Project Managers, you will be responsible for driving commercial outcomes, managing contractual obligations and ensuring the project's financial interests are protected throughout delivery.

The EBoP scope includes:

  • Delivery of high-voltage electrical infrastructure including substations, switchyards and transmission systems.
  • Design and installation of underground reticulation, grid connection assets and wind turbine electrical interfaces.
  • Deployment of protection, control, SCADA, communications and associated balance of plant electrical systems.
  • End-to-end project execution covering design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and energisation.

This is a significant opportunity to contribute to a complex EPC project environment involving multiple contractors, suppliers, OEMs and stakeholder interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • In this role, you'll provide commercial leadership across the project lifecycle by:
  • Managing head contract and subcontract obligations to ensure contractual compliance and commercial performance
  • Leading the assessment, preparation and negotiation of variations, claims, extension of time submissions and contractual correspondence
  • Partnering with project delivery teams to proactively identify, manage and mitigate commercial risk
  • Supporting procurement strategies and commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Monitoring project financial performance, forecasts and commercial reporting
  • Driving positive commercial outcomes while protecting project margin and contractual entitlements
  • Advising senior project stakeholders on contractual matters and commercial strategy
  • Facilitating effective resolution of disputes and complex commercial issues
  • Building strong commercial relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Commercial Manager/Lead or Senior Contracts/Commercial role on major infrastructure, energy or EPC projects
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration within lump-sum, design and construct or EPC project environments
  • Proven capability managing claims, variations, contractual notices, EOTs and dispute resolution processes
  • Exceptional commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk management and project outcomes
  • Experience managing complex subcontractor and supplier relationships
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence senior decision-makers
