Description

Commercial Sales & Trade Marketing Manager (Growth & Automation Focus)

About the Role

We are not looking for a traditional FMCG manager to just maintain the status quo. As a dynamic beverage producer and importer, we operate on two distinct battlegrounds: managing the sheer volume and velocity of imported heavyweight categories (soju, craft beers, and wines) while aggressively fighting for shelf space and consumer trial for our newly produced, independent in-house brands (like Ready-to-Drink cocktails and highballs).

We need a "Commercial Hacker"—someone who combines razor-sharp Key Account Management and on-the-ground Trade Marketing with a deep fluency in digital automation, AI tools, and data capture. You will not just manage our route-to-market; you will architect a smarter, faster, and more measurable way to sell.

Core Responsibilities

1. Key Account Management & Distribution Scaling
  • Dual-Portfolio Selling: Negotiate annual trading terms, listing fees, and category planograms across Modern Trade (supermarkets, convenience stores), On-Trade (HORECA, nightlife), and General Trade.
  • Pitching with Data: Leverage predictive demand planning and competitor data to prove mathematically why a retailer should expand our Share of Shelf (SOS) for established imports or take a chance on a new RTD cocktail launch.
  • Distributor Management: Audit and motivate third-party logistics and wholesaler networks to ensure optimal numeric and weighted distribution targets are met without out-of-stock bottlenecks.
2. Tech-Forward Trade Marketing & O2O Activations
  • O2O Ecosystems (Offline-to-Online): Transform physical retail activations—from tasting stations to 3D truck displays—into digital data pipelines. Ensure every physical touchpoint links to digital membership portals or AI concierges to capture zero-party consumer data.
  • Hyper-Local Execution: Design and deploy geofenced digital advertising and trial voucher drops that trigger the moment a shopper enters a target supermarket or event space.
  • POSM & Promotional Optimization: Design, source, and deploy high-impact point-of-sale materials. Use LLMs to rapidly A/B test promotional copy and mechanics (e.g., multi-buys vs. gift-with-purchase) for maximum conversion.
3. Workflow Automation & Market Sensing
  • Automated Intelligence: Utilize web scraping and market-sensing tools to monitor competitor pricing, out-of-stock rates, and promotional mechanics across e-commerce platforms and online supermarkets in real time.
  • Process Engineering: Replace manual Excel reporting by building automated logic workflows (via platforms like n8n or Make) that sync CRM updates, trigger low-stock alerts, and auto-generate daily sales region matrices.
  • Digital Visibility: Optimize our e-commerce and digital point-of-sale presence for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), ensuring our brands surface in modern AI search queries.

The Ideal Profile

  • Commercial Aggression: Proven track record in FMCG / beverage sales, Key Account Management, and trade marketing. You know how to negotiate with retail buyers and manage complex trade spend budgets to ensure positive ROI.
  • Tech & AI Savvy: You do not wait for an IT department. You are comfortable utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs) for workflow acceleration, low-code automation tools (n8n, Make), and modern CRM/database structures to build your own solutions.
  • Strategic Agility: You understand the difference between sustaining momentum for a legacy imported brand and the guerrilla tactics required to launch a new brand from scratch.
  • Analytical Rigor: You live in the numbers—Sell-in vs. Sell-out, Trade Spend ROI, and conversion rates—and know how to translate raw data into a compelling commercial story for retailers.

What We Offer

  • The autonomy to build and deploy your own commercial systems.
  • A diverse, high-energy portfolio ranging from legacy global imports to disruptive independent creations.
  • A culture that rewards technological innovation and aggressive market expansion.
