Coordinates commercial sponsorships and advertising for a government-run marketing program, negotiating deals and ensuring compliance with regulations.
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Section. This position is assigned to Drug Demand Program and requires incumbent to be of 18 years of age, subject to initial and random drug testing Physical output of the position requires ability to lift, carry move items up to 40 pounds Position is Flexible, no minimum guaranteed hours, no standard benefits, irregular tour of duty including weekends, evenings and holidays
Conducts Commercial Sponsorship / Advertising and assist with marketing duties. Works under the direction of the Marketing Director to provide assistance as needed to various elements of the marketing program, including sponsorship and advertising, distribution, intake, research, layout and publication. Provides general administrative, technical and operational support in all areas marketing. Assists in conducting advertising campaigns. Compiles list of viable annual events and programs to seek commercial sponsorship. Develops solicitation packets and solicits sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors. Negotiates mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executes all supporting documentation. Coordinates with the installations Staff Judge Advocate to ensure terms of each sponsorship agreement follows all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Ensures AF and sponsor compliance with sponsorship agreement. Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at event. Compiles and provides sponsor with copies and subsequent publicity and develops appropriate thank you letter and after action report. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising Program. Identifies advertising vehicles to market under marketing program. Develops pricing and rate structure for paid advertising in Services publications., point of sale venues and collateral materials such as placemats, and Golf Course score cards and tee markers. Negotiates terms of advertising agreement and executes all supporting documents. Tracks payment of advertising to ensure proper accountability and credit to Services Fund. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the marketing program. Works with Services activity managers to develop programming and determine best practices for utilization of the sponsorship program. Obtains items from sponsor for event whether merchandise or monetary. Responsible for safeguarding merchandise and monies to applicable end user activity and Services NAF Financial Office respectively. Obtains applicable approvals on all agreements in accordance with AFI requirements and relevant delegations. Uses various Microsoft Office software programs to perform some work. Required to drive a GSA vehicle to activities on and off base for marketing processes. Performs other related duties as assigned.
