Commercial Support Coordinator

The Commercial Support Coordinator is responsible for processing and responding to daily e-mail correspondence from internal and external clients, professionally and courteously fielding telephone calls from clients and customer service agents, and understanding the commercial lines insurance industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Processes client updates, payments and client calls.
- Maintains an average of 120 pieces of mail processed daily.
- Reviews and processes all e-mail and debtor mail inquiries, notates debtor account of content, evaluates whether client contact is necessary for resolution, and follows procedures outlined in the commercial support manual.
- Participates in various problem-solving and decision-making activities.
- Files, faxes and mails/ e-mails preparation.
- Takes on additional responsibilities, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of six (6) months of collection experience.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates consistency, accuracy, sound judgment, follow-through and attention to detail.
- Ability to promote a professional, team-oriented, and positive attitude at all times.
- Maintains knowledge and compliance with all FDCPA and state laws.
- Ability to read and interpret information in written form and from a computer monitor.
- Ability to learn specific software used to perform job including: Microsoft Office, Application Xtender (Document Manager), etc.
- Basic math and written communication skills.
- Moderate typing skills (at least 35 WPM).
- Coachable: receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embraces continuous improvement and responsive to change.
- Ability to maintain a predictable and consistent full-time work schedule.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required (college degree preferred).
