Position Overview
Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment
The Packaging Commis Chef plays a critical role in the final stage of meal production, ensuring that fresh, ready-to-eat meals are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently for delivery. Working in a refrigerated environment, this role is responsible for maintaining food quality, following strict food safety standards, and executing packaging processes in alignment with production goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Responsibilities
Packaging & Order Fulfillment – 50%

Package ready-to-eat meals into trays and seal for delivery according to work orders

Ensure accuracy of meal components, portioning, and labeling

Maintain product quality, presentation, and consistency during packaging

Work efficiently to meet daily production targets in a refrigerated environment
Food Safety, Sanitation & Compliance – 20%

Adhere to all company policies, GMPs, and food safety guidelines

Maintain proper hygiene and safe food handling practices

Ensure packaging processes meet safety and quality standards
- Handle ingredients and allergens according to food safety standards
Inventory Handling & FIFO Management – 10%

Maintain cooler and dry storage areas using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles

Support proper storage, rotation, and handling of ingredients and finished goods

Monitor product integrity during storage and staging
SOP Execution & Process Consistency – 10%

Follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) daily

Assist in training on packaging procedures and workflows as needed

Ensure consistency in processes across shifts
Team Collaboration & Communication – 10%

Communicate clearly with team members and leadership

Coordinate with production and cold line teams to ensure smooth workflow

Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude in a high-volume environment
