Commissioning Engineer - Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
Summary
On-site commissioning and maintenance engineer for automatic transfer switches and low-voltage power systems, performing start-ups, diagnostics, repairs, and customer training across Sweden and Finland.
As a Commissioning Engineer - Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), you will provide professional on-site technical services for ATS and low-voltage equipment across customer projects. You will primarily support complex and critical power installation projects, including transfer switches and low-voltage switchboards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing start-up and commissioning activities across the full ATS and low-voltage product range.
- Assessing the quality, assembly and readiness of installations before start-up.
- Evaluating system installation and operating conditions.
- Carrying out on-site adjustments to optimise equipment performance.
- Supporting customers with the installation, modification and repair of ATS and low-voltage products.
- Conducting root cause analysis to determine whether failures are related to quality, software or operating conditions.
- Collaborating with other service engineers, technical partners and Level 3 support teams during site interventions.
- Providing customers with technical training on equipment operation.
- Delivering preventive and corrective maintenance on ATS and low-voltage systems.
- Interacting with customers both on site and remotely to assess and deliver the appropriate level of technical support.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in commissioning or field service repair, ideally within secure power systems.
- Proven experience with power system installations, including automatic transfer switches, low-voltage switchboards and UPS systems.
- Experience in data centre installation and commissioning would be a strong advantage.
- Knowledge and practical experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic circuits at component level.
- Strong understanding of ATS and low-voltage electrical principles.
- Ability to work independently, with limited supervision and general guidance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, professional documentation, regulations and electrical diagrams.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, professional correspondence and operating procedures.
- Good command of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Fluent English is mandatory, with a minimum level of B2.
- Strong interpersonal qualities, including customer focus, reliability, flexibility, attention to technical detail, teamwork and leadership skills.

- Working schedule: Rotation of 3 weeks on / 1 week off
- Starting date: ASAP
- Duration of the assignment: 1 to 2 years
- The engineer must comply fully with all applicable HSE policies, procedures and technical standards.
- The successful candidate must be able to work with a high degree of autonomy, performing commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting activities independently.
- The position may also involve retrofit, modernisation and upgrade activities on existing ATS and low-voltage installations.
