Description

Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer looking for an international role with flexibility, responsibility, and the opportunity to work on some of the largest hyperscale data centre projects in Europe?

Our client is a global technology leader specializing in electrical power distribution, automation, and critical infrastructure solutions. The company plays a key role in supporting data centres, utilities, and industrial facilities worldwide by delivering advanced power systems that ensure reliability, efficiency, and business continuity.

Your Assignment

As the on-site technical representative, you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, and successful delivery of electrical power distribution systems within hyperscale data centre environments. You will ensure installations are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to the highest quality standards.

Your scope may include:

  • Medium and low voltage switchgear
  • Transformers
  • Protection relays
  • Automation and monitoring systems
  • Busway systems
  • Modular power distribution solutions

You will coordinate commissioning activities, attend project meetings, support customers during project execution, and ensure all systems are fully operational before handover. Depending on the project size, you will either perform the commissioning activities yourself or lead and coordinate a team of engineers on-site.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or similar
  • MBO+ candidates with substantial relevant experience are also encouraged to apply
  • Experience in commissioning, testing, field service, or electrical project execution
  • Experience within data centres, utilities, power generation, or power distribution is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of MV/LV switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and control systems
  • Experience with testing methods such as primary injection, secondary injection, insulation resistance testing, HiPot testing, and fault finding
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
  • Valid driver's license

Travel & Rotation

This role offers extensive international travel throughout the EMEA region. Current projects are primarily located in Scandinavia, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Denmark.

To support a healthy work-life balance, the position follows a fixed rotation schedule:

3 weeks on-site / 1 week off at home

This allows you to work on exciting international projects while maintaining regular time at home between assignments.

A valid EU passport is mandatory.

Due to the international nature of the role and frequent travel across European project locations, only candidates holding an EU passport can be considered for this position.

What Is Offered

  • The opportunity to work on some of Europe's largest hyperscale data centre projects
  • International assignments across the EMEA region
  • High levels of responsibility and autonomy
  • Exposure to cutting-edge power distribution and automation technologies
  • Strong career development opportunities within a global organization

If you're passionate about electrical commissioning, enjoy international travel, and want to work on mission-critical infrastructure projects across Scandinavia and the wider EMEA region, we'd love to hear from you.
